Course
Description
Scouts will learn all about soil with an emphasis on the soils of Delaware. Soil and Water Conservation is one of the elective merit badges for the World Conservation Award for Boy Scouts, and one of the elective merit badges for the William T. Homaday awards for Boy Scouts and Varsity Scouts.

participate?
Current members of the Boy Scouts of America. Registration limited to 15 scouts.

Preparation
Scouts should bring a blue card signed by Scoutmaster.
Scouts should read the following:
1) Soil and Water Conservation Merit Badge pamphlet, 2019 edition.
2) Printed copy of the Soil & Water conservation workbook to fill-in during class - June 2020 edition.

ArrivalPlan to arrive 10 minutes early, late arrivals disrupt the workshop.
AttireScouts will be indoors and outdoors, please wear clothing appropriate for the weather. Snacks and a water bottle if desired.
Parents and
Siblings
Parents and siblings are welcome if they do not impact the program. Sometimes, parents can assist the Counselor. Museum entrance fees may apply for parents and siblings who remain in the Museum as site visitors.
