Description
Scouts complete their Oceanography merit badge in hands-on activities, study beforehand, and work completed afterwards.
Who can
participate?
Current members of the Boy Scouts of America. Registration is limited to 15 scouts.

Preparation
Scouts must bring blue card signed by Scoutmaster.
These sections of requirements in the current Oceanography Pamphlet should be completed beforehand:
#4, 5, 6. Information from #4-6 will be reinforced during session.
Scouts send completed workbook (including #1-3, #8 a or b, and #9) after the session to Counselor Petrone for approval via e-mail, fax, or U.S. mail.
Item #7a will be completed at the session.

ArrivalPlan to arrive 10 minutes early, late arrivals disrupt the workshop.
AttireScouts may get wet and dirty. Program is rain or shine, so be prepared for hot and sunny, or cold and rainy.
Close-toed shoes that can get wet are required.
Parents and
Siblings
Parents and siblings are welcome if they do not impact the program. Sometimes, parents can assist the Counselor.
WeatherIn the unlikely event that a program is canceled, scouts will be notified.
