Course
Description
Scouts learn basic gardening principles including vegtables and ornamental plants, discuss various aspects of gardening and importance of honey bees. They will learn practial skills useful in any size or type of garden.

participate?
Current members of the Boy Scouts of America, limited to 15 scouts.

Required
Preparation
Scouts must bring:
1) Blue card signed by Scoutmaster.
2) Read and bring the Gardening Merit Badge Pamphlet, 2013 edition.
3) Printed copy of Gardening Merit Badge Workbook along with a pencil/pen for writing and taking notes.

AttireScouts will be indoors and outdoors, please wear clothing appropriate for the weather

Siblings
Parents and mature siblings are welcome if they do not impact the program. Sometimes, parents can assist the Counselor.
WeatherIn the unlikely event that a program is canceled, scouts will be notified.
