Course
Description
Scouts learn of complex forest ecosystems, discover resources forests provide to humans and the role people have in sustaining forest health. Forestry is one of the elective merit badges for the William T. Hornaday awards for Boy Scouts and Varsity Scouts.
Who can participate? Current members of the Boy Scouts of America. Registration limited to 15 scouts

Helpful
Preparation
Scouts should mail a blue card signed by Scoutmaster to the registar. Scouts should read the following:
1) Forestry Merit Badge pamphlet, 2019 edition
2) Printed copy of the Forestry Study workbook - June 2020 edition
3) Completed requirement #4(a-e), #5(a or b or c) and #6 as pre-requisites.

ArrivalPlan to arrive 10 minutes early, late arrivals disrupt the workshop.
Attire Clothing appropriate for indoor and outdoor activity including appropriate footwear. Water bottles, snacks, and insect repellant if desired.

Parents and siblings are welcome if they do not impact the program. Museum entrance fees may apply for parents and siblings who remain in the Museum as site visitors.
