Course
Description
Scouts will complete their Archaeology merit badge through activities at the two sessions, work that they complete before arriving at the Iron Hill Science Center, and assignments between the two sessions. Sessions cover merit badge requirements 1, 2, 3, 4a&b, 5, 6, 8a, 9b, 10a, and 11.

participate?
Current members of the Boy Scouts of America.Registration limited to 12 scouts.

Preparation
Scouts should bring blue card signed by their scoutmaster to the first session. Prerequiste: #7a or #7b. Scouts should bring a printed copy of the Archaeology Workbook to fill out

ArrivalPlan to arrive 10 minutes early, late arrivals disrupt the workshop.
AttireSession 1: Indoors and Outdoors. Wear casual clothes that are suitable for hiking. Also, water bottles and snacks are permitted. Insect repellant if desired.
Session 2: Outdoors. Scouts should wear their scout uniform to engage the public about archaeology.
Parents and
Siblings
Session 1: Parents are welcome; however, because of limited Archaeology space, other children cannot be accommodated.
Session 2: Parents are welcome. Festival entrance fees apply for parents and siblings who remain as site visitors
WeatherBoth sessions will be held rain or shine.
